I must get my ass in gear and get writing on this every week
have been busy experimenting in the kitchen the past few weeks
we were making christmas tree bikkies, the kids love cutting these out
and decorating them as it allows them to go mad my kitchen table was a mess
but the kids were having a ball it kept them quiet for hours

 Then i decided to give elmo a try it was very hard to get black food paste so i had some black gel that i used for the eyes and i really enjoyed making these

 And this is my 1st attempt at making kermit, seeing as the muppets movie is been released soon and seeing miss piggy on the x factor gave me all the motivation i needed but i need to practise lol

madness

where so i begin it has been total and utter madness here since the bank holiday weekend at halloween between the christening and my daughter getting the chicken poxs and hubbie getting the flu its amazing how the man flu can nearly kill you lol and the boys had the vomitting bug so my house was pretty infected
but before all the sickness we had the christening and here are my little creations for the kids to nibble on and they went down a treat

busy busy busy

its been hetic all last week what with sick kids, and my daughter had her friend over for a sleepover that lasted for 3 days  i haven't had much time to myself, but i did manage to make chocolate eclairs and fairy cakes that the girls spent hours decorating,
I bought them marsmallows, choc which i melted, smarties, googy eyeballs, orange and black sugarpaste, a floral embossing mat, various food pastes and icing sugar, and halloween jellies i must say it was the quietest i have ever heard them all weekend .i left them alone to decorate their cupcakes and they were brill uinfortuantely my camera let me down as i ran out of batteries to record their efforts but they will b at it again this weekend.

had to take one of my kids to the doctor as they weren't feeling great for a few days so after dropping the others at school, we headed in with no appointment, dan had his book, i forgot mine oh no the dreaded doctor magazines about golf, fishing, and wine i dont find any of these of any interest so imagine my suprise when i discovered a food magazine. There were 2 people in front of us in the queue so i settled in for the long haul with my food mag it was bloody brilliant full of all the nice desserts that i might like along with recipes, have to say i was a bit bold and ripped out about 10 pages of the magazine as i didnt have my book to write them down!!!! I am forever ripping pages from magazines i am known to have done it in the dentists as well, hey i am not alone it is a craze at least i dont rob the magazine, i only take the bits i want lol.

national baking week

It's national baking week and boy have i been busy! We made brown soda bread, white scones,butterfly buns, smurf buns and that was just monday. We have a family christening coming up soon and i am going to be trying out a few new recipes and as its halloween weekend i might do some scary buns as well.
